Home physiotherapy services
Home health physiotherapy is a necessary treatment for an individual who is physically inadequate to receive treatment in a room. A physiotherapist shall apply in advance for Health Insurance's participation in costs.
A patient pays the same fee for home health physiotherapy as for physiotherapy in the centre.
Iceland Health may waive the fee of the patient in the case of a very serious medical condition. Examples of serious medical conditions:
Cancer
End-stage Parkinson's disease
Very severe disability
The contracts of Iceland Health with physiotherapists have been free from February 2020, so an additional fee/arrival fee is to be assumed that does not count towards the payment participation.
