The International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) is published and maintained by the World Health Organization (WHO). The classification system is made for coordinated registration of health-related skills and disabilities and describes skills from different perspectives, such as mobility or social integration. Its structure focuses on the interaction between health, skills, and circumstances.

The classification system was translated, and a shorter version was published in a book in Icelandic in 2015. The printed copies are sold out, so the book can only be accessed electronically.

A more detailed version of the ICF codes is published in SKAFL.is, a website about classification systems. The translation of the ICF into Icelandic was a joint project of the Directorate of Health and the University of Akureyri.
