Report importing a high-powered solvent, high-powered laser pointer or IPL device
Imports of high-powered solvents, high-powered laser pointers and IPL devices are required to be notified. A party importing such devices shall notify the import to the Icelandic Radiation Safety Authority before it takes place.
High-powered solvents and high-powered laser pointers shall comply with the ÍST EN 60825-1:2014 (refer to regulation/Law). Every device covered by the Regulation shall bear a CE marking as well as markings on classification and danger in use.
The Icelandic Radiation Safety Authority may seek information from other public authorities, such as the Director of Customs, on the import of high-powered solvents, high-powered solvent transmitters and IPL devices.
