To renew a driving licence you must:

• fill in the renewal application

• to submit medical certificate from a general practitioner (may not be older than 3 months)

• in certain cases a passcode must be submitted on photographic paper, 3.5 x 4.5 centimetres, a neutral background and the individual facing straight ahead. This applies if:

  • If the image is too old and not marked with quality / photo has been submitted by June 2013

  • Image not available in system/licence of previous model

  • If you have changed a name

  • If you have changed gender

The data is submitted to the sheriff's office to determine whether the conditions for renewal of driving licences are in place.
