Old car license plate
Preliminary sign
The pre-requisite marks are registration plates which may be used on vehicles registered as anchor vehicles and which have their first registration date for the year 1989. The type of a pre-marking shall be in accordance with the age of the vehicle.
Application for ancient name
Applications for a registration of rights to the anchor label must be submitted to the Icelandic Transportation Authority. In order to apply for a pre-qualification badge, an applicant must be the owner, partner or keeper of a pre-motor vehicle. The first name is assigned to the holder's personal identification number, not to the vehicle. Pre-reel signs may be worn on cars, motorcycles and tractors that meet age requirements. Registration of rights is indefinite.
Production of anchors
Only registration of rights holders is applied for in the Icelandic Transportation Authority. The rightholder himself has the anchors produced after an application with the Icelandic Transportation Authority has been approved. The signals are always delivered to an inspection post. Before delivery, these must be approved by the Icelandic Transport Agency. It is noted that the Anchor Club has been responsible for the production of the main labels.
Inscription of a stigma
The marking must conform to the rules in force at the time when the vehicle was first registered. It is permissible to adopt an inscription which was previously in use if the vehicle to which the mark was affixed is deregistered. A pre-mark cannot be identical to another mark, whether it is a fixed number, a private mark or another pre-mark.
Asset remark
The right to a pre-recorded flag may be waived by submitting an application to the Icelandic Transportation Authority. The use of the marks may continue to be authorised to a new rightholder.
Inspection of vehicles with a pre-marker
The month of inspection for pre-vehicle vehicles is May. The vehicle should therefore be inspected before the end of July. The vintage vehicle is to be inspected every other year, based on the year of the first registration of the vehicle.
