Extension of pension due to stay in an institution

Hospitals

Pension payments will be cancelled when you have been in hospital:

  • 180 days in total in the last 12 months,

and

  • 30 consecutive days at the end of the period.

You may be entitled to special pension payments instead of pension payments. You do not apply for a special pension payments, it comes automatically if you are entitled.

You can apply for:

  • Temporary extension of your pension payments.

  • Daily allowance when staying outside an institution for 7 days or more.

Pensions to resume

When discharged from a hospital, the pension payments from TR will resume from the first day of the discharge month. The hospital will notify discharge to TR.
