Donor eligibility
Can donate blood if continuous treatment, same dose and type of medication for at least 4 weeks and general wellbeing.
Example: Treatment for weight management, type II diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome/PCOS.
Exceptions and comments
Exception:
A10BJ06: (Semaglutide, example: Ozempic, Wegovy, ) Can donate blood but lock plasma for patient usage. Treatment is continuous, same dose and type of drug for at least 4 weeks.
Not eligible for blood donation if donor has experienced repeated fainting, dizziness or symptoms of hypoglycemia.
