About the Supervisory

The Quality and Supervisory Authority of Welfare (GEV) became operational on January 1st, 2022 and monitors the quality of various social services provided on the basis of Acts listed up in Article 1 in Act. no. 88/2021.

The aim is that the service under GEV supervision is safe, secure and in accordance with the provisions of laws, regulations, rules, contracts and guidelines.

The institution is independent in its work but is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Labour Market.

Role

  • Strengthen the foundations of comprehensive services for the state and local authorities.

  • Improve the quality and safety of services in collaboration with service providers and users.

  • Monitoring that services are provided in accordance with the law and international treaties.

Sample

  • Be an important part of the quality and control system of public services.

  • Promote empowerment and improve the quality of life of individuals.

  • Promote accessible and safe services that meet individual needs.

  • Consider the knowledge and experience of sister institutions.

  • Emphasis the use of verified instruments in the monitoring of services.
