This year, Prevention Day will be held for the twentieth time.

Teachers register schools for participation; those eligible are 9th grade in primary school and 1st year in upper secondary school.

Teachers receive material to show students. Students answer questions collaboratively and can participate in a competition by completing a final project related to the educational material of Prevention Day.

Winners of the competition are invited to Bessastaðir in December, where they will receive prizes and recognition.

The exact time of Prevention Day will be announced later.
