Amounts

The amounts of the household allowance are:

Disability and rehabilitation pensioners: 69.126 ISK per month before tax.

Pensioners: 92.384 ISKper month before tax.

Half of the pensioners: 46.192 ISK per month before tax.

What affects the amount

If income exceeds the free income limit, the household allowance is reduced.

The percentage of deduction after the free-income limit is reached for:

  • pensioners 11.9%,

  • disability and rehabilitation pensioners 45%.
