EEA and Norway Grants

Application guidelines

Applications are not submitted through Rannís.

Each beneficiary country develops and manages its own programmes. Namely; organisations in those countries must act as the lead applicants and submit funding applications to the relevant national authorities.

Icelandic entities can participate in projects as partners through open calls published in the beneficiary countries, across fields such as research, innovation, education, culture, local development and the green transition. Costs incurred by EEA EFTA partners are covered in accordance with their role in the project as stated in the project agreement.

Applications are submitted through the relevant programme operators in each beneficiary country or via the EEA Grants website, where open calls are published.
