The country is divided into four landing areas.
Area A: Eyja- og Miklaholtshreppur to Súðavíkurhreppur.
Area B: Strandabyggð to Grýtubakkahreppur.
Area C: Þingeyjarsveit to Djúpavogshreppur.
Area D: Hornafjörður to Borgarbyggð.
Permit shall be granted to the operator in the area where the registered place of residence of the operator of the fishing vessel concerned is situated.
