Co-payment in psychological services

Co-payment in psychological services
The prerequisite for the participation of the Iceland Health for the services of psychologists is, on the one hand, that reference be made to the services of psychologists and, on the other, that psychologists who work under the Framework Agreement of Iceland Health on Psychological Services be consulted.

In such cases referrals must be from a multidisciplinary diagnostic team or child psychiatrists.

    - Psychological services of children or adults due to a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of an anxiety disorder or of any form of depression (mild and moderate).

  • Interdisciplinary diagnostic team* and child psychiatrists - children only.
    - Applies to psychological services for children with severe mental health, behavioural and developmental disorders.
    - The psychologist in question must be authorised to provide treatment under a framework contract with Iceland Health.
