Changing your Registered Gender Marker

A person may change their registered gender marker one time. When changing the gender marker for a minor, use the Ice Key or digital credentials of the minor to sign in. The minor's legal guardians are required to give their approval before the registered gender marker can be updated. A confirmation email will be sent to the address provided on the form once the approval form for the legal guardians is ready to be filled out.

Changing your gender marker together with changing your name carries a fee of ISK 9,000.
