This shelter serves as an emergency solution for men who are aged 18 or older and are homeless. They are provided with a place to get inside, accommodation and breakfast. Laundry and sanitary facilities are also available in the building, which during winter stays open all 24 hours but during summer is closed from 10-17:00. Individuals resident in Reykjavík are given priority to the shelter’s services, which are free

This building provides an emergency solution for women who have no place to sleep, staying open from 19-10:00 during summer, but from 17-12 from September 1st. Light suppers and breakfasts are offered, and laundry and sanitary facilities are available. This service is free. Further information can be found on the website of The Icelandic Red Cross.

The Samhjálp café is for outsiders and others who lack assistance and facilities. It is open from 10-16:00 every day of the year. Coffee and snacks are always on offer, and a meal is served at 15:00. This service is free.
